No matter what the hands-on learning activity or experiment is, the common theme I try to always include is scientific thinking (I love the book Fairy Science for a kid-friendly introduction )
We have found lots of fun experiments on Instagram to investigate forces of motion, states of matter, properties of matter, living things, magnets, the human body, and more
Some highlgiths this past year were planting a garden with Abuelo, watching our caterpillars (sent by my sweet friend) turn into butterflies, and watching a rocket launch into space
We spend a lot of time in nature and are fortunate to live a short drive from beautiful creeks, tidepools, other interesting animal habitats
My plan for this school year is to revisit and build upon the phsyical and life science areas we have enjoyed
